ABOUT PCM

Process Communication Model is a personality and communication theory applied in self-knowledge, team development, communication and relationships, negotiation, sales, conflict resolution, coaching and psychotherapy.

Since its discovery in 1976, PCM has been successfully used at NASA in the team selection and training program, as well as in the communication preparation of US presidents. 

Bill Clinton used to say about Taibi Khaler (founder of PCM): „Taibi Kahler is a genius. He knows more about personality dynamics than anyone else in the world.

So far, the Process Communication Model has 40 years of research and refining behind, and its validation has been accomplished with over 1,000,000 work profiles.

The themes of the 3-day training in Process Communication Model

DAY 1

  • Introduction to Process Communication Model: What is PCM, how it appeared, the applicability and model results
  • Setting expectations: calibrate the course (case studies and practical component) to the participants’ needs
  • Neuroscience and Perceptual Systems: Understanding the model by which people represent their mental reality and identifying the 6 perceptual systems discovered by Dr. Kahler (thoughts, opinions, emotions, actions, reactions, reflections)
  • Personality Architecture and Personality Types: Defining and understanding the 6 types of personality that make up our personality structure
  • Personality Pattern Inventory – Participants receive the results of the questionnaire that indicate the personality structure of each

DAY 2

  • Management Styles: Presentation of the 4 management styles with specific advantages and disadvantages in relation to each Personality Type
  • Personality parts: description of the four energies (words, tone, gesture, mimics, posture) used by people in communication and their correlation with Personality Types
  • Communication channels: Calibrating the various Personality Parts previously described, in order to have effective communication and relationships
  • Environmental preferences: Discovering preferred and productivity-free environments for each Personality Type
  • Motivation and Psychological Needs: Discovering the 8 fundamental psychological motivators and their correlation with each Personality Type

DAY 3

  • Phasing: understanding the dynamics that govern the changes and evolution of our behaviors and psychological needs
  • Stress Sequences / Conflict Management: Understanding the 3 stress sequences specific to each Personality Type and discovering the most effective ways to manage potential conflicts
  • Intervention strategies: Understanding the appropriate communication and management approaches according to each personality structure
